Tennis Jackson Electric was founded in 1949 by Tennis and Alma Jackson as electrical contracting and repair business. In early 1953, they expanded the business to include alarm systems. In approximately 1956, they further expanded the scope of the business to include heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.

In 1972, Chuck Turner became a partner. This gave the company the ability to design and install systems (electrical, HVAC, lighting, and alarms).

In the early 1978, the company was split into two entities - Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc. and Jackson Security Services, Inc. Both companies were an S corporation and operated by the same management team.

In 1982, Jackson Security Services purchased Business Security Services and blended that business into Jackson Security Services, Inc.

In 1988, Chuck Turner purchased both businesses and merged both corporations into one - Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc. with Jackson Security Services operating as a separate division. In 1992 Brad Turner was appointed Vice President of Jackson Security Services and General Manager of Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc.

In 1991, Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc. purchased the Patterson Company (a HVAC service and contracting firm) that had been in business approximately 40 years. Patterson Company was absorbed into Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc.

In 1999, Brad Turner left the company for a position with another firm. In 2000, Jim Essary was hired to be Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Tennis Jackson Electric, Inc. and General Manager of Jackson Security Services.

Together the firms offer a full range of services in the following areas:

• Access controls - design, installation, and service
• Camera systems - design, installation, and service
• Gate operators - design, installation, and service
• Monitoring services
• Lighting design and installation
• Emergency generator systems
• Residential, commercial and industrial electrical and HVAC design, installation, and service. We feature the Carrier brand of equipment but have all brands available.
