1.
What is the difference between a fire alarm and a fire monitoring system?
The standard fire alarm (or detector) in your home is connected to your
electrical system and will sound a siren at your home when smoke is
detected. A fire monitoring system is connected to a monitoring station
that not only sounds a siren at your home but will also call and dispatch
the fire department - even if you are not at home.
2.
Can Jackson Security Services monitor my home/business even though I
bought my security system from another company?
Yes, we can service and monitor all security and fire monitoring systems
on the market today.
3.
Can Jackson Security Services upgrade my existing security and/or fire
system?
Yes, in most cases. If not, we can suggest an alternate plan at a reasonable
cost.
4.
What security system does Jackson Security suggest for someone renting
a home?
Individuals that rent should consider a wireless system. This will allow
you to take the security/fire system with you when you move to a new
location.
5.

Is it expensive to install security cameras for my home/business?
The cost can range from very reasonable to very expensive. The factors
to consider are the number of cameras, the type of lens, black and white
or color recording, resolution, type of recording device (DVR or VCR),
the lighting of the area you are viewing, etc. Please call (205) 752-3569
for a FREE on-site consultation.
7.
Will I be able to view my security cameras from a remote location?
Yes, your security cameras can be securely viewed from any location
around the world.
8.
When I am considering a recording device, what advantages does a DVR
have over a VCR?
A DVR device allows you to view your property from remote locations,
has a greater storage capacity, works with CDs instead of VCR tapes,
and allows you to view a specific time rather than viewing an entire
recorded tape.
9.
